Which color is easier for the eyes to see red or Violet?

If the color red has the longest wavlenghtes and violet has the shortest which color is easier for the eyes to see. It whould be great if you could provide a good source!!! thx

Actually green is the easiest to see being in the middle of the visual spectrum at 550nm at it's purist.





If this isn't what you're looking for it's most likely to depend on the person. Because red %26amp; violet are both at the ends of the visible spectrum they should be about the same.





I'd guess red because the range of it's wavelength is slightly broader at 630-700nm (70) while violet is 400-450nm (50), that and there are more ambiguous shades of violet than red.





Of course on the other hand with violets smaller wavelength it may be easier to penetrate the human eye. The same logic applies to the wavelength of sound. Hence why smaller animals can hear higher pitches.
