Can I keep more than one dragon fish or violet gobi in a 50 gallon aquarium?

Yes you can. Just make sure your water is impeccably clean and that you have PLENTY of salt in there for them. And don't forget the hiding places!

These guys have a tendency to starve to death (especially if they're in a tank with other species of fish) so make sure you actually see them eating their food. Frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms (and really any other kind of frozen worm) are an ideal diet for them.

I would guess by your question that these are aggressive fish. I don't know this type for sure, but the general rule of thumb for aggressive fish is: if they have enough room and things to separate them (plants, rocks, etc) and they are fed WELL, they will leave each other alone. If they get the slightest bit hungry, or feel the need to fight for territory, they will kill each other.
Reply:Although it may seem safe because it is suff a big area, it probably is not a good idea. no matter how far apart they are from each other, they are bound to pick fights, and especially since they are fighting fish( thay are arent they?) it is not such a great idea. You can ask a pet store employee to double chech, but i doubt that they will say tht it is alright.
