UV light is used to irradiate water to kill microbes. (All light is "radiation".) it won't hurt you. there is no "radiation" in the water after it has been treated with UV.
Reply:UV light is used to KILL bacteria., algae %26amp; mold. Sun give us UV light also.. it will not harm you. The treatment is not the same a Irradiating some thing.
Reply:Don't worry there is no residual radiation if you expose water to uv light. We are all exposed to uv light it is a basic frequency of sunlight. High levels of UV-C will kill off pathogens in water that is why it is done. This is a good thing, in fact many good water purifiers add a UV bulb to disenfect the water. Drink up.
Reply:Our well has a laser that kills the bacteria, before it reaches the house. It is a very expensive system, and is good for your health, and safer than traditional systems. I'm guessing the ultra violet light, is the same thing that we have. I have no worries about illness from our well, the water tastes great and is super cold.
