What do you think about the name Persia, Violet, Madison, or Addison for a baby girl?

Which would you choose? I like them all but not sure on middle names for them all. I can't even choose a first name.

What do you think about the name Persia, Violet, Madison, or Addison for a baby girl?
Choosing a name for a child is one of the most important things you will do for your child. All of the above names in the right setting would be appropriate for a child. Ask your family members for their advice about the names. Some names just DONT go with their last names. Think about the fact that this name(s) will be the one you will use with that child for a lifetime. Does it have a ring to it???? Do you and daddy like the way it sounds??? Will others think that the name is not right for your family ethnicity??? Do not be surprised if your child does not change her name, pick a nickname sometime later in life. If a child is teased a lot about their name, they will come to resent it. I knew a mom who named her child Teacup, Dukes of Hazzard. What a name!!!! Picking odd names places your child at a disadvantage right from the start. You can find a book of baby names in any book store. Don't forget that perhaps you can use a second name from someone in the family you want to honor, perhaps an aunt, your mom, his mom, your grandmothers.

All these factors play into naming a child. And, yes, look up the meaning of their name, also. Not sure I have ever heard of a girl named Persia, makes me think of a Persian cat. Do you want your little girl to end up with Kitty as a nickname???? The name Addison is also the name of a disease that John F. Kennedy had, decreased adrenal function. Your child may get comments about that.

Violet and Madison are both acceptable names with no negatives I know of. Madison may end up being called Dolly Madison, wife of President Madison, famous for the Dolly Madison ice cream. Hard to make much out of Violet.

Once again, they are all nice names. I have tried to draw upon my experience at deliveries when parents were thrilled to have their little newborn there, only to find out they named her Monilia, Syphilis, or some other bizarre name.

Give your daughter one up in life. Give her a name she will feel comfortable with and enjoy writing as she grows up.

Some names are a mouthful to say, others just glide off the tongue. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT name your child Rapunzel or Rumpelstiltskin, or Mickey Mouse. Am I making myself clear?

Names often make children feel empowered. Find a name you all like, that has a ring to it, that is easy to say and spell and that goes with the child's last name. Pick the easy spelling also. Makes the child not have to correct everyone who spells it the normal way. For example: Elizabeth versus Elsbyth.

Enjoy life.
Reply:I would go with Madison because (no offence) but the rest are really ugly.
Reply:For middle names try:

Persia Isabella

Violet Grace

Madison Elizabeth

and,

Addison Lorainne.

Personally I like Madison Elizabeth best.

Good Luck!
Reply:Persia and Violet are both great.

Madison and Addison are ok...but I wouldn't choose them because they're too trendy right now. She'll likely have other Madisons and Addisons in her class.

My favorite is Persia. Persia Rose would be cute.
Reply:Violet
Reply:violet is d nicest.....
Reply:I don't really like any of them. But to narrow it down...Addison...just sounds...weird. Persia...sounds like a place to live...or a place I wouldnt want to live....

so...Madison is kinda cute like "Maddy" although it is trendy. Violet...is a rather...old name. Sometimes people name their children after their relatives. I have my grandmas middle names (both of them)

Remember that its your kid that has to deal with this name for the rest of their lives....so choose wisely :) Its almost better to go with a more common name than unique name. The unique name may never suit them at all, and cause them alot of teasing they just dont need.
Reply:Out of the four, Persia is my favorite. I think Persia Jasmine would be nice. I also like Madison...but Violet and Addison are not my taste. Good Luck :)
Reply:addison, that is such a cute name!!!! addison 100%
Reply:I love Madison, but we decided on Kaitlyn Elyse for my daughter.

How about, Madison Rose. I don't like Persia or Addison, Violet is pretty, can't think of a good middle name.
Reply:I remember the times when we were wondering what names should we choose for our little princess. We finally (and lately!) agreed that will be Elise Andre. The first 7-8 months, that was the name that we used, Elise Andre!! And trust me, it is a very long name for a new born girl, who doesn't now much of this world..

Now, after 7 years, the name has established, it's Elise. But this is not only her name, it's.. I even do not have enough words to explain you, our angels don't need names, they need feeling!

What about Emilie Love for a name? This way you could call her My Love for a tender name..

When we are parents, we are blessed. The rest doesn't matter.
Reply:the last two are too trendy.....icky icky poo
Reply:No!

Maybe!

No!

No!
Reply:All except Persia I like. I might name a cat Persia...
Reply:Except for Violet they are all vomity. They are the kind of names an american would give their child. Violet is nice though.
Reply:Violet is cute and so is Madison.
Reply:madison is a very adorable name

if i have anotehr girl thats her name or anabella
Reply:I like Violet, it's beautiful and very sweet. Addison reminds me of the Gyno in Grey's Anatomy, Madison of Madison Square Garden in NYC and Persia reminds me of Iran (former Persia).

Violet is gorgeous!
Reply:I Like Violet,It's Sweet...
Reply:Well I have to first pick Adisynn (how I spelled it), because that's what I named my youngest daughter:) But I also like Violet %26amp; Persia. What about:

Addison Taylor

Addison Camille

Addison Kailey

Addison Victoria

Violet Danae

Violet Brielle

Violet Kourtney

Violet Brynlie

Persia Kaitlyn

Persia Brielle

Persia Riann

Persia Lynn
Reply:I like Violet :)

I did like Maddison but it is becoming propluar so you might want to avoid it. I ended up with all my children having popular names.

I'm not sure about Persia; it's different.
Reply:Persia Medea
Reply:Addison is just plain Silly, Violet sounds is quite a dated name and I would think is just too old. Madison and Persia are ok but Perisa reminds me of the cat
Reply:It seems like you are torn between popular names and unique names... I think you should compromise.

My favourite of you names is Violet It is lovely.

Persia is sweet too, but I like India better for unique place names.

I love Madison and Addison, but there are too many already!

For middle names:

Persia Suzanne

Persia Alexandra

Persia Rachel

Violet Lauren

Violet Iris

Violet Olivia

Addison Danielle

Addison Sarah

Addison Nicole

Madison Amy

Madison Cassidy

Madison Delilah
Reply:Violet and Madison are great, the others are a little odd for a girl.

Look up the meanings first though,as I ended up calling my daughter "sea of bitterness"...
