What is the frequency of violet light w/ a wavelength of 400 nm?

frequency = C / wavelength. c is speed of light

What is the frequency of violet light w/ a wavelength of 400 nm?
using the formula frequency =speed/wavelength

note there are scientific terms for these expressions, you'll have to read them up in/at your own time

frequency=3 x10^8/400x10^-9 = 7.5 x 10^14Hz

^means to the power of the number, the numbers used for the calculation, are the value for the speed of light and the 400nm converting to m respectively
Reply:c = lambda x nu

c is the speed of light 3.0 x 10^8 m/s

lambda is the wavelength

nu is the frequency
