Why does the sky turn violet after an earthquake?

The reflection of light off of the tiny ionic particulates emanating from the earthquake fracture zone causes the colors you see in the sky and air around these zones. Depending on the elemental make-up of the particles, the color may be purple in one zone and greenish yellow in another zone.

You are very observative! Most people do not see these colorations out of fear or concern about other matters at the time of the earthquake, and are not focused on seeing what is really occurring!

Why does the sky turn violet after an earthquake?
well if it does occur it could possiably be from the sulfur that was just released into the earths atmosphere.
Reply:Did you feel the earthquake? I did not notice that the sky changed color.
Reply:Who says it does? I very seriously doubt it.
Reply:it only turns violet on stupid tv shows that everyone hates
