Why does red have the longest wavelenght and violet have the shortest?

You have to look at the way we see color. There are certain receptors in the eye that goes to a certain part of the brain. light does not have any more color than radio waves or x-rays! it is our brain that interprets it the way wed see it.

In fact, it is very difficult to determine if we all see the same color when we see.

Really, the question could be "why did we evolve in such a way that we see colors as we do?"

Why does red have the longest wavelenght and violet have the shortest?
It's all about arm length I believe.
