My African Violet leaves are turning brown what do you think might cause it?

I think it may be to much water....I had that problem and ended up killing the plant. Only after the fact did i find out what had happened.

maybe not enough drainage or too much sun... maybe u fried them with too much food? or maybe a pet peed on them..
