Does an ultra-violet water filter filter out salt?

When you run through water through an ultra-violet water filter, will it get rid of the salt as well as the bacteria/germs etc?

Ultra violet does not filter. It deactivates bacteria and viruses. They are still in the water but they are dead. It does not affect salts or other dissolved minerals at all.
Reply:No.

It will not get rid of anything but the UV rays may kill some or even all of the bacteria in the inflow water. The actual physical bacteria are still there even if dead.
