My African violet won't blossom even though we feed it violet food?

The Plant is still in the original pot

Make sure it gets enough light, but don't keep it in a window with a southern exposure. This would be too much for the plant. Make sure it is watered, and it might need a new pot. They like to be root-bound, so select a pot that is only slightly larger.
Reply:It is possible that it is not getting enough light. Try putting the violet in a south facing window that receives nice light.

We have several violets, -some bloom more than others. We even went through a period of about 7-8 months where none of them bloomed. I think they just needed a rest after blooming so long!

We had one violet that our dog knocked off the plant stand, - snapping it off right at the base of the stem. I never thought it would live, but we kept the soil moist (not wet) and fertilized it every other week or so. The violet is now blooming!
Reply:Give it brighter light.
Reply:I've had good luck with violets, you have to put them in a north facing window they need bright light but not sunlight. Make sure they are moist but not soaking wet, this is more important than the fertilizer. You could also try re-potting with miracle grow soil in a pot slightly bigger than the one you have it in. Good luck.
